To learn to drive safely and with control, first familiarize yourself with the vehicle and obey traffic laws. Keep a safe following distance, use turn signals, and regularly check mirrors and blind spots.
Driving defensively includes controlling your speed, looking ahead and being prepared for unexpected events, being alert and distraction-free, and preparedness for all sorts of actions and reactions of other drivers.
Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you and avoid tailgating
