4-Hour Reckless & Aggressive Driver Course (RADEP)
- Also called the Reckless & Aggressive Driver Education Program.
- Often required or recommended for people charged with reckless or aggressive driving in Virginia, prior to a court date .
- The 8-hour Driver Improvement Class is typically a pre-requisite for the 4-hour Reckless/Aggressive Driver Course, and together they make up the 12-hour RADEP program.
- Covers top causes of reckless driving — aggressive behavior, speeding, distracted driving, and effects of alcohol/drugs — plus strategies for managing road rage and staying calm behind the wheel.
- Available both online (self-paced) and in-person, depending on the provider.
- Students typically get a completion letter or certificate for court, DMV, or insurance purposes.
